Congress Leaders Appeal Against Replacing Mahatma Gandhi's Statue: Secunderabad

Senior Congress leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy along with other Congress leaders, appealed to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, against replacing Mahatma Gandhi's statue at Secunderabad's James Street with another statue. Reddy claimed that the TRS government intends on erecting another statue, and shifting the Gandhi statue to a less prominent place. He further stated, "It reminds us of Tuglak's rule. We are against it".

Telangana BJP Leaders Demands CBI Probe In Khammam Suicide Case

The BJP unit in Telangana filed a petition in the Telangana High Court, demanding a CBI probe in the Khammam suicide case of party activist Sai Ganesh. On April 22, BJP filed the petition demanding action against TRS Minister Puvadda Ajay Kumar, who allegedly harassed Ganesh, which forced him to commit suicide. They also blamed K Chandrashekar Rao-led TRS Government for being biased and failing to protect its citizens.

Telangana Govt Calls For Protest Against Centre Over 'Paddy Procurement Issue

In Telangana, TRS MLAs, MLCs, Working President KT Rama Rao, and others started a statewide protest against the Central Government. They called for dharnas, 'rasta roko' and other agitations, asking for paddy procurement from farmers of Telangana, who cultivated paddy in 35 lakh acres of land, believing the BJP leaders in Telangana, in rabi season.
