UPSC Posts Job Vacancies For IIS; Journalists Can Apply Too

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced around 34 vacancies for posts of senior grade in the Indian Informative Service (IIS). Interested applicants can apply online through the official website. Out of the 34 vacancies, "two vacancies are reserved for people with benchmark disability (PwBd)". The candidate should have at least two years of experience in the journalistic field, government or private.

UPSC Announces Revised Interview Schedule For CSE 2020

The Union Public Service Commission on June 9 announced the revised interview schedule of Civil Services Examination 2020 to be held from August 2. The commission will issue the e-summon letters on their official website upsc.gov.in shortly. Also, the body cleared that requests for change in date and time for the personality test will not be entertained. Earlier scheduled from April 26, the interview was delayed due to COVID second wave.

UPSC Postpones Recruitment Process For Principals' Post Amid COVID-19

The UPSC has decided to halt the recruitment process to fill the 363 posts of principal lying vacant in the Directorate of Education, Education Department, and Government of NCT of Delhi. Reportedly, an advertisement welcoming candidates for the role was posted on the UPSC website on April 24. However, it has now been deferred due to the increasing COVID-19 cases in the country.

Govt Gives Extra Chance To UPSC Candidates Who Missed Last Attempt In 2020

In a bid to respite the UPSC candidates who missed their last attempt in 2020 due to COVID-19, the Union has agreed to give an extra chance. Reportedly, the Centre’s move will benefit around 3,300 students without even increasing their age-limit. However, the government agreed to give the extra trial only to age-barred students in front of a Supreme Court bench that heard the plea filed by UPSC aspirant Rachna Singh.

"One School, One IAS" Scheme Launched For Poor Students In Kerala

With an aim to provide free coaching for poor and meritorious civil services aspirants, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on January 16 launched the 'One school, One IAS' program. The program will be implemented by the Vedhik Erudite Foundation and will benefit around 10,000 students of the state. The main focus of the initiative will be to start grooming students from high school-level itself for competitive exams.

The topper couple, who serve at Rajasthan cadre and posted in Jaipur were married in 2018. Delhi Gurudwara Committee Offers Free Residential UPSC Coaching For Sikh Students

Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has established an academy to offer free residential UPSC coaching to Sikh students. The Guru Tegh Bahadur Academy has been set up under the chairmanship of World Punjabi Organization President Vikram Sahni. While the 5-member committee of retired Sikh officers has started the admission and counselling process, students who have cleared prelims are directly eligible for coaching.
