Bollywood Actress Payal Rohatgi tied the knot with wrestler Sangram Singh in Agra after dating for more than 12 years, on July 10. In her Instagram post, the 'Lock Upp' runner-up shared a string of her wedding images with the caption "Payal ke Sangram." In the pictures, the actor donned a beautiful red lehenga with heavy jewellery, whereas the 'Commonwealth Gold Medaliast' opted for a beige sherwani and safa.

Olympic medallist wrestler, Sushil Kumar has been shifted from Mandoli Jail to Tihar Jail. He was arrested in connection with the murder of fellow wrestler Sagar Dhankar. Special security measures have been arranged, and police officers are stationed near his quarters across the clock. Kumar was also denied a plea for special food requests, protein supplements and exercise bands as he wanted to continue his career in wrestling.

A lookout notice has been issued by the Delhi Police against wrestler Sushil Kumar for the murder of wrestler Sagar Dhankar. Reportedly, the junior national champion was killed in the brawl at Delhi’s Chhatrasal stadium parking area for which the two-time Olympian Sushil was booked under murder, abduction and criminal conspiracy. Allegedly, Sushil after murder fled to Haridwar and Rishikesh and is now back to Delhi changing locations.

Iran informed that it has executed a 27-year-old wrestler Navid Afkari on September 12 for stabbing a man to death during an anti-government protest in 2018. Reportedly, Afkari had "confessed" to the crime before execution. The news came amid the ongoing efforts by athletes around the world that were aimed at stopping the execution. The International Olympic Committee said, "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Navid Afkari."
