Tension prevailed in Kuppam district after some miscreants attacked Anna canteens, near the bus stand of Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. Upon hearing of the attack, the TDP leader rushed and staged a protest demanding strict action against the culprit. They also alleged the involvement of the YSRCP workers behind the attack, which happened for the second time in the past two days. Recently, some people attacked Anna canteens in AP.

In Andhra Pradesh, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party organised plenary meeting, to elect the president. The two-days event, on July 8-9, will be held in a grand manner, in which YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the AP CM will get a lifetime position as the YSRCP President. Scheduled on the 72nd birth anniversary of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, this will be the third plenary meeting of the YSRCP, since 2009.

The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet is scheduled to hold the first Cabinet meeting of the YSRCP, after State CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, reshuffled its cabinet. The meeting has been scheduled for May 13 and will be chaired by CM Jagan, at 11:00 am. Furthermore, the State CS Sameer Sharma issued a notice regarding the same, asking ministers to submit details and discussions for the meeting, by May 11, 4:00 pm.
