'Orange' Flood Warning In 3 States; 'Red' Alert In Jharkhand, Bihar
After heavy downpours in several states due to Cyclone Yaas, the Central Water Commission on May 26 issued an 'Orange bulletin' predicting floods in Odisha, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. Likewise, a 'Red' alert was issued for Bihar, Jharkhand, and parts of Uttar Pradesh, said RK Jenamani, a Senior Scientist at the Indian Meteorological Department. The met body also forecasted ‘Yaas’ effect including lightening and gusty winds for another 36 hours.
