Amit Shah Announces Disaster Management Schemes Worth Rs 8,000 Crores
To strengthen the disaster management sector of India, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced three major schemes. On June 13, Shah held a high-level meeting and announced projects worth over Rs 8,000 crores, for disaster management. The schemes include Rs 5,000 crores project to expand and modernise fire services, Rs 2,500 crores for metro cities, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Pune aiming for flood prevention and others.
