British Govt Supports Marcus Rashford's Free School Meal Campaign
The British government on November 7 supported footballer Marcus Rashford's #endchildfoodpoverty campaign to provide free meals to school children during the winter holidays. The government has decided to provide a financial grant of $220 million to the campaign. Rashford stated he was "overwhelmed" by the decision and added, "There is still so much more to do." Earlier, the Parliament has refused to extend the free school meals until Easter 2021.
