Centre Allows All 45+ For COVID Jab; Nixes Mandatory Health Certificate
The Centre, on March 23, announced to open COVID-19 vaccination for everyone above 45 years in its attempt to speed up the nationwide inoculation drive. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar clarified that people above 45-year-old will no longer require to produce co-morbidity certificates. The move came after the Centre widened the Covishield dosage gap from four to eight weeks on March 22. The government has requested several states to open vaccination for all.
