Centre's Dual Airbag Proposal Likely To Hike Prices Of Four-wheelers
Owing to the Union Transport Ministry's recent proposal to make airbags mandatory for the front seats, the prices of four wheelers can get dearer. Till now, the automakers had to provide airbags for the driver seat only. "The new proposal is aimed at making cars safer, but it will come with a price," said an automobile firm's executive. Reportedly, it will affect entry-level-segment cars more and price-rise may vary from Rs 5,000-10,000 for small hatchbacks.
