Covid-19 Cases In India Hiked Due To Chronic Diseases: Research
According to researchers of The Lancet, India’s Covid-19 infections are fuelled more due to chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension. Reportedly, persons carrying one of the chronic diseases experienced a death rate of 5.7% as compared to 0.7% in those who seemed healthy. Few scientists also concentrated on the mass underreporting of Covid cases and death in India. Besides, at least five million people have died after hospitals were flooded with Covid-19 patients.
