Delhi Jal Board Askes Haryana To Assist With Delhi's Water Shortage
Vice-Chairman of Delhi Jal Board, Saurabh Bharadwaj, has voiced grave concern over the river Yamuna's dwindling water levels and requested Haryana government to release Delhi's share of the river's water to help manage Delhi's water problem. He said that Haryana had stopped releasing water from Yamuna, reducing Delhi's water supply by roughly 100 million gallons per day. He further stated the water level is approximately eight feet below the surface.
