Fire Accident at Telangana Power Plant to be Looked Into; Panel Appointed

On August 22, a tragic accident in Telangana's Srisailam Hydroelectric Power Plant claimed the lives of nine people. The Chairman and MD of TS-GENCO Prabhakar Rao, said that a committee comprising of senior engineers has been appointed to assess the mishap and suggest precautionary measures, which would help avoid such incidents in the future. Reportedly, two units of the plant might start running after damage assessment in 15 days.
