Goa Session Court Acquits Journalist Tarun Tejpal In 2013 Rape Case

Goa’s session court on May 21 acquitted former Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal of all charges in the sexual assault case. Tejpal was accused of sexually assaulting a female colleague inside the elevator of hotel in Goa in 2013. While Tejpal’s defence counsel said "He has been acquitted from all charges. Order…will be uploaded later" Special public prosecutor Francisco Tavora said that the state will challenge Tejpal’s acquittal in High Court.
