IIT-Roorkee Starts Drone Research Centre, Gets 100L+ Fund From Alumni

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has started a special Centre for Drone Research. The centre will focus on drone development, drone applications, and anti-drone technology. Interestingly, celebrating their Silver Jubilee Reunion, the institutes' 1994 batch alumni offered Rs 100.38 lakh funding for the research centre. Presiding the virtual ceremony, NITI Aayog member Dr VK Saraswat said, “the growth of this segment aligns to the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.”
