IMD Announces 'Orange Alert' In Delhi, Surrounding Areas Due To Severe Heatwave
According to India Meteorological Department, on June 6, an "orange alert" was issued in Delhi and other neighboring locations due to severe heatwave with temperatures ranging from 44 to 47 degrees Celsius. Heatwaves will be felt across Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. IMD forecasted no substantial changes in temperatures in most regions of Northwest India, but a hopeful drop in temperature in Central India after two days.
