IPL 2020: KL Rahul Makes Record; Delhi Beats Punjab In 'Baby Super Over'
Although KL Rahul failed to perform with his bat, he made a record when he opened for Kings XI to chase 158. Rahul became the fifth player to captain, keep wickets and open the inning in an IPL match. Earlier, this feat was achieved only by Adam Gilchrist, Brendon McCullum, Kumar Sangakkara and Parthiv Patel. The second encounter of IPL 2020, between Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab, turned out to be Marcus Stoinis versus Mayank Agarwal. For batting, both tried to keep the score board ticking for their team while watching dismissals at the other end. But it was bowling that provided an extra-edge to the Australian all-rounder who dismissed Agarwal when he was inch-away to seal the victory for Kings. Despite Mayank Agarwal’s stunning knock of 89 runs, Kings XI Punjab lost to Delhi Capitals in a super over that in effect can be called as 'baby super over'.
