Jamia Millia Among 5,789 Entities Whose Foreign Funding Ceased

Foreign funding of 5,789 entities, including the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia University, India Medical Association, the Medical Council of India, has been ceased by the government. Reportedly, these organisation failed to renew their licence under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act. However, the government received 12,989 applications for renewal out of 18,778 organisations whose licence were to expire before January 1.
