Journalist Siddique Kappan Granted Interim Bail By SC

Kerala based journalist Siddique Kappan has been granted a five-day interim bail by Supreme Court to visit his infirm mother. The court instructed Kappan to not interact with media except family, close relatives and doctors. Earlier on January 22, a petition allowed the Kappan, to talk to his ailing mother Kadija Kutty via video conference. In 2019, the UP Police arrested Kappan while reporting Hathras case under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
