Kerala: 870 COVID Doctors Resign Due to Salary Decrement

Over 1,080 MBBS graduates from government medical colleges were appointed to COVID First-Line Treatment Centres (FLTS) across Kerala, on temporary basis. Out of which, 870 doctors have issued resignation over decrement of salary. Reportedly, the doctors were promised a salary of Rs 42,000 per month, while they received only Rs 27,000. The Kerala junior doctors association has urged the Chief Minister and Health Minister of the state, to intervene in the matter.
