Kerala Launches Miyawaki Technique To Grow Micro-Forests At Tourist Spots
To strengthen the greenery, Kerala Tourism has launched a project to establish the Miyawaki method of micro- forests in the state. Reportedly, 22 tourist places in 12 districts have been selected for the short-term afforestation. Earlier, the state Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran has inaugurated the project by planting a sapling at the Shanghumugham beach in Thiruvananthapuram. Besides, he said that more than 30,000 saplings would be planted under the scheme.
