Madras High Court: No Requirement of Contempt Charges Against Suriya
Madras High Court on September 18 announced that there is no requirement of contempt of court charges against Actor Suriya over his remarks against judiciary. However, the court claimed his statement "absolutely unnecessary". The court stated that the right to freedom of speech and uncontrolled speech have two different dimensions. Earlier, Suriya had released a statement that criticised judiciary for operating online but risking students to write NEET in centres.
