Maharashtra Village Sees 1st COVID-19 Case Since Pandemic Outbreak
Maharastra’s Kharatwadi village in Walva taluka has witnessed its first COVID-19 case since the pandemic started. The village, largely untouched by the deadly virus recently witnessed five members of a family testing COVID positive. The village sarpanch Prithviraj Kharat said by extensive testing and scattered settlements they kept the virus at bay. Reportedly, with a population of only 1,278 people, the village boasts less congestion due to vast farmlands.
