Manipur Govt Appeals Medical Officials To Mute Ambulances' Sirens
The Manipur government has appealed medical officials for silencing of ambulances' sirens to reduce the COVID-19 panic and anxiety. The state's medical directorate in its statement said, "Only if the roads are blocked, sirens should be activated." Earlier, the government had extended the curfews in the districts of Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Ukhrul, Thoubal, Kakching and Churachandpur till May 28. Manipur has recorded 40,683 COVID cases till May 18.
