Mentally Challenged Man Hanged In Singapore Over Decade-Old Drug Case
A 34-year-old mentally challenged man was hanged till death in Singapore, in connection with more than a decade-old drug case. Nagaenthran K Dharmalingam had been convicted of importing heroin; and he was subsequently sentenced to death in 2010. He was scheduled to be executed last year, but it was deferred after his mother had, in a last-ditch attempt, filed another legal challenge. But it could not overturn the death sentence.
