More Than 45.34 Lakh People In 30 districts Impacted By Assam floods; Death Toll Rises To 108
Assam's flood situation has deteriorated significantly, with seven more people killed in the catastrophe. Floods have displaced 45.34 lakh people across 30 districts. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister, declared that additional forces will be dispatched to Silchar to assist in the rescue of flood victims. 108 persons have died since mid-May, with two fatalities each in Cachar and Barpeta, and one each in Bajli, Dhubri, and Tamulpur.
