Odisha Children Themselves Repair Road Leading To Their School
Tired of government officials' indifference, children of Odisha's Malkangiri village themselves picked the shovels, toiled for several days and constructed a road leading to their school. The children, who repaired a 2-km damaged stretch between Padalput and Majhiguda, belong to Talakata government school. They were assisted by a local NGO along with a Self Help Group (SHG). Notably, many students have met with accidents in past due to the bad condition of the road.
