Odisha Govt Promises Protection Of Stray & Abandoned Animals, Launches Helpline & Veterinary Service

The government of Odisha expressed its commitment to the security and protection of stray and abandoned animals. CM Naveen Patnaik launched a state animal helpline number and a tele veterinary service. The veterinary service will be expanded across 11 urban cities, through animal ambulance. The services can be availed by dialing 1962 or 155333. Furthermore, the government will also provide financial assistance to non-governmental organisations working towards this cause.
