Organ Donations From Men Witnessed Steep Surge In 2 Decades: Report
Apollo Hospitals data revealed that organ donations by males have significantly increased in the past two decades. Reportedly, the men liver donors, who were 26% in 1998, have increased by 46% during 2008-2021. Moreover, the recipients' ratio has increased in male children from 29% from 1998-2012 to 40% from 2016-2021. Interestingly, experts said that while women have predominantly been organ donors, they are less worried than men over donating organs.
