Prez Biden's $1.9 Trillion Relief Plan Receives Nod From US Senate
Despite the opposition from every Republican senator, the US Senate on March 6 finally approved President Joe Biden's $1.9tn relief plan with a 50-49 tally. Aimed at easing economic crisis deepened by COVID-19, the plan has allocated $49bn and $14bn for expanded COVID-19 testing and vaccine distribution respectively. Additionally, most Americans would receive one time transfer of $1400 through cheques. Now the bill have to secure approval from the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives.
