Anti-Corruption Bureau Traps Asst Engineer Of APEPDCL: Andhra Pradesh

An Assistant Engineer of the Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution fell for the trap set up by Anti-Corruption Bureau and got caught taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 from an aqua farmer. The farmer, G. Gangaraju lodged a complaint that the engineer demanded a bribe to issue an electric metre for the fish tank. The farm is located at Denduluru village in the West Godavari district.

Tokyo Olympics: $542 Million Aquatics Centre Inaugurated

Tokyo Olympics organizers on October 24 unveiled new swimming venue for next year’s rescheduled Olympics. With a budget of $542 million, the 15,000-seat Aquatics Centre for swimming, diving, and artistic swimming finished construction in the month of February.
