Was Tied To Chair & Given Electric Shocks By Chinese Army: Kidnapped Arunachal Boy

Miram Taron (17) was abducted and assaulted by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA). He was released by the PLA on January 27, nine days after he was reported missing. Taron said, “they tied up my hands and took me deep into the jungle. On the first day, they tortured me; gave me electric shocks,” in an interview. Notably, Taron went missing on January 18 from the India-China border.

Chinese Army Informs To Have Found Missing Arunachal Pradesh Boy

Chinese Army informed that they have found Miran Taron, a 17-year-old missing boy from Arunachal Pradesh. On January 23, Harshvardhan Pandey, the Tezpur PRO defence said, "Chinese Army has communicated to us that they have found a missing boy from Arunachal Pradesh." Furthermore, the procedure of Taron's return is underway. Notably, Taron went missing on January, after being allegedly abducted by Chinese troops.

Earthquake Of 4.9 Magnitude Jolts Basar: Arunachal Pradesh

An earthquake jolted Basar area of Arunachal Pardesh in the early hours of January 18, having a magnitude of 4.9 on the richter scale. The National Center for Seismology said that the earthquake tremors had a depth of 10 km and occured at 4:30 am at 148 north-northwest of Basar. Notably, the details about the earthquake were posted by the National Center for Seismology on twitter.

China Builds Small Village Near Arunachal Pradesh Border: Pentagon

In its report to the US Congress, the Pentagon said China has built a 100-home civilian, a large village along the Tsari river between the disputed area of India's Arunachal Pradesh and PRC's Tibet Autonomous Region. To strengthen its rapid response near the border, China has also deployed substantial reserve forces from Tibet and Xinjiang military districts. Reportedly, China is taking ''tactical actions to press its claims at the LAC''.

Arunachal's Total Confirmed Cases Rise To 55,176; Recovery Rate At 99.38%

Arunachal Pradesh's total Covid-19 tally of confirmed cases has reached 55,176, while two new cases were recorded at Itanagar. However, the recovery rate stands at 99.38% and the active cases at 0.11%. Furthermore, 77% of the eligible citizens in the state have been vaccinated with the first dose, while 55% have been fully vaccinated. Besides, over 54,000 cases have been recovered.

Indian Army Intercepts 200 Chinese Soldiers At Arunachal Pradesh Border

In a major transgression, 200 Chinese soldiers tried to trespass in Arunachal Pradesh but they were stopped by Indian troops close to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the state. Reportedly, the incident occurred last week during a routine patrol close to LAC. However, the matter was resolved through the intervention of local commanders. Besides, India asked China to resolve the remaining issues of eastern Ladakh soon.

Earthquake Of Magnitude 4.5 Jolts Arunachal Pradesh's Pangin

The National Center for Seismology said an earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale has jolted Arunachal Pradesh's Pangin area on the morning of October 5. The center of the quake was at a depth of 10 kilometres from the surface. However, this is the third earthquake since October 1. Earlier, two earthquakes of magnitude 4.4 and 4.1 hit Basar on October 2 and October 1.

4.4 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Arunachal Pradesh's Basar

National Center of Seismology (NCS) on October 4 informed that Arunachal Pradesh's district Basar received an earthquake of 4.4 magnitudes. The earthquake (32.41 Latitude, 92.73 Longitude) had a depth of 106km NNW of Basar. NCS informed about the occurance over a tweet along with all the necessary information. Moreover, Arunachal Pradesh received earthquakes twice in the month of October last year.
