CBSE Gets Proposal To Assess Grade 12 Students On Past 3 Year Results

The CBSE has received a proposal to give class 12th marks based on the marks of the past three years' result. While most states supported the board’s option to conduct truncated exams, some requested to vaccinate all students and staff before conducting exams. Meanwhile, after the board announced to cancel the idea of conducting full-fledged exams, it is yet to announce the dates and mode by June 1.

West Bengal Class 12, 10 Board Exams Likely To Happen In July, August

The Bengal government on May 27 postponed the approximate dates for class 10 and 12 board exams to July and August. CM Mamata Banerjee announced that grade 12 and 10 board exams will be conducted in July last week and August second week respectively. However, while the exact dates are yet to be announced by the board, the exams will be held in home centres and only for compulsory subjects.

CBSE Board Exam 2021: Cancels Class X Exam And Postpones Grade XII 

Cancelling the grade X board exams, CBSE, on April 14 postponed class XII examinations. After a meeting with PM Narendra Modi, the education ministry stated that class X students will be promoted based on the objective criteria, yet to be decided. Ministry also provisioned an extra opportunity for students to later sit for exam if dissatisfied. The officials will announce Class XII exam dates after reviewing the COVID conditions.

Maha Government Postpones Class X, XII State Board Exams To May-June

The Maharashtra government has postponed the grade X and XII Maharashtra state board examinations to May and June, 2021 respectively. Citing fresh surge in the COVID-19 cases, the state’s education minister Varsha Gaikwad in a video message said, "We will ask the other boards to follow decision that the state board has taken." The board exams for HSC and SSC were earlier scheduled to start from April 23 and 29.

Maharashtra Education Department is considering delaying exams of HSC and SSC 2021

The Maharashtra Education Department (MED) is considering whether the exams of HSC and SSC must be postponed by a few weeks, citing the sudden surge of covid-19 cases in the state. Though they haven't made a final decision yet, however, students and teachers are urging the government to conduct the exams in May for the safety of the students. A decision is expected to be made by April 9.

CBSE Issues Revised Date Sheet For Board Examinations

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a revised date sheet for the upcoming board examinations for grades 10 and 12. The science and maths exams for class 10 have been postponed to May 21 and June 2.
