COVID-19: BMC To Set Up Three Jumbo Field Hospitals In Mumbai
Mumbai BMC on April 12 announced the plan of setting up three jumbo field hospitals in the next five to six weeks in-order to handle increased COVID-19 cases. The jumbo fields, with 2,000-bed capacity, each will serve in three locations. Reportedly, Four-star and five-star hotels will be used as COVID Care Centres. However, Nodal officers will be appointed to monitor ward rooms and jumbo field hospitals.

BMC's Actions "Wrongful", Kangana To Get Compensation: Bombay High Court
The Bombay High Court on November 27 stated that Kangana Ranaut would be given compensation for her loss of property demolished by the Mumbai civic body on September 9. The court said that the actions executed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation "are nothing but malice in law". Earlier, Kangna, in her petition, had demanded Rs 2 crore in compensation for the damage caused by the "illegal" demolition.

Mumbai: Water Level Rises in Seven Lakes to 98.18%
According to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), water level in the lakes have risen to its full capacity, due to the heavy rainfall. The water level in the seven lakes that provides water to the entire city has risen to 98.18 percent on September 11. On August 28, the BMC had withdrawn the cut in water supply in Mumbai after imposing the same on August 5.
