Punjab: CM Amarinder Announces Free Travel For Women In State Run Buses
Punjab CM Amarinder Singh on March 31 announced free travel for women in Punjab Roadways Transport Corporation, Punjab Roadways Buses and locally owned city bus services. While the free travel excluded AC, Volvo and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) buses, the CM claimed of fulfilling 85% of manifesto promises. Moreover, the CM said that while the promise was to reduce the bus tickets for women to 50%, he made it all free.

Punjab Face Signal Crisis As Farmers Turn Violent Towards Jio Towers
As per reports, farmers in Punjab are expressing their anger by damaging Jio towers and disrupting services. Reportedly, they have caused damage to nearly 1,500 telecom towers either by cutting the power supply or harming the backup generators. Moreover, they have burnt of Jio cables in Jalandhar. Kejriwal, Amarinder Involve In Verbal Spat Over Farmers' Protests
Delhi CM Aravind Kejriwal took a dig at his Punjab equivalent Captain Amrinder Singh for blaming the Delhi government on the ongoing farmers' protests. Kejriwal has alleged that Amrinder has joined hands with the BJP. Haryana CM Launches Fresh Attacks On Punjab CM Over Farmers' Issue
The ongoing spat between Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar and his Punjab counterpart Amarinder Singh has indicated no halt yet. Khattar on November 29 said, "If any dangerous situation arises due to coronavirus, Punjab government will be responsible for it."
