India Records 11,919 Fresh Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Rate At 98.28%

India recorded 11,919 fresh Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking its active total to 1,28,762. However, 11,242 people have been recovered, taking its tally to 3,38,85,132. Furthermore, 470 deaths were recorded in a single day, out of which, Kerala reported 61 deaths. Moreover, more than 114.46 crore vaccine doses have been administered, and 62.82 crore tests have been conducted so far.

Centre Urges States, UTs For COVID-19 Vaccination Even On Holidays

The Centre has notified the states and union territories to keep all COVID-19 Vaccination Centres (CVCs) open throughout April, including holidays. Reportedly, the step is taken to reduce the number of cases, which has seen a spike since March. Besides, the Ministry claimed that the process is carefully monitored and the vaccinated were kept under continuous observation to avoid further mishaps.

Expert Committee Asks To Remove 'Trial Mode' Label From Covaxin

The Centre’s Subject Expert Committee has recommended to remove the "clinical trial mode" label from the Bharat Biotech’s COVID-19 vaccine, Covaxin. Assam: 100-year-old Woman Recovers from COVID-19; Doctors, Nurses Celebrate

A 100-year-old woman, Mai Handique, on September 16 was discharged from a hospital after recovering from COVID-19. Health officials said that the woman, a resident of a Guwahati-based old-age home, had undergone treatment for coronavirus at the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH). Reportedly, a small celebration was held by the doctors and nurses who appreciated Mai's positive approach towards the situation.

India's first airport coronavirus testing facility has been started at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on September 12. Located at the Terminal-3, the facility aims to ensure safety of passengers entering the city or en route to another flight journey.
