Tennis Player Novak Djokovic Awaits January Tournament Participation Results
Tennis Player Novak Djokovic is awaiting word on whether he'll be allowed to return to the Australian Open in January-2023. Djokovic missed the tournament this year due to his not-vaccinated against Covid-19 status. Addressing the media on September 23, Novak said, "It's really not in my hands right now. So I'm hoping I will get some positive news." Notably, Djokovic missed many crucial tournaments due to his not-vaccinated status.

India Covid-19 Update, Registers 19,673 New Cases With 39 Falatities
India reported 19,673 new Covid-19 cases, taking the active cases tally to 1,43,676, till July 31. India Logs 11,499 New COVID-19 Cases, 255 Deaths In Last 24 Hours
India reported 11,499 new COVID-19 cases, on February 26. The Union Health Ministry has confirmed 23,598 recoveries and 255 deaths in the last 24 hours. With this, the total caseload went to 4,29,05,844 and death cases to 5,13,481. While the active caseload in India is at 1,21,881, the current recovery rate in the country stands at 98.52%. Moreover, as of now, India has administered 177.17 crore vaccine doses to people.

J&K Govt Kick-Start Children's Vaccination Drive
The first vaccination drive for children between the age group of 15-18 years, was kick-started by government of Jammu & Kashmir on January 3. Officials said that 822 vaccination sites have been set up across twenty districts of the union territory. Additional Chief Secretary of Health & Medical Education Department Vivek Bharadvaj said that it is a special day for Kashmir, as "8.33 lakh children will be vaccinated" in J&K.

Congress Takes Dig At Govt, Asks When Will Vaccinate Remaining 35% People
The Congress took a dig at the opposition over the vaccinated population in India. In regard to this, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said, 35% eligible adult population, 36 crore people are yet to receive second vaccine dose, whereas 11 crore people are to receive first dose against COVID-19.
