US Treasury Hit By Cyberattacks; Experts Suspect Russia-backed Hackers

India Suffers Third Highest Number Of Malware Attacks Globally

Acronis' cyberthreats report for 2020 revealed that India suffered the third highest number of malware attacks, trailing Japan and US. 56% Firms Face Ransomware Attacks; $1.1 Mn Average Ransom Paid: Survey

Global Security Attitude Survey led by Cybersecurity company CrowdStrike has discovered that out of 2,200 respondents from around the world, 56% have faced ransomware attacks. Dr Reddy's Disables Its Data Centers Following Digital-security Breach

After suffering a cyberattack recently, Indian pharmaceutical firm Dr Reddy's has disabled all its data centres. Reportedly, the company witnessed data breach at its plants in India, US, Brazil, Russia and UK. However, the drugmaker stated that the impact of the cyberattack was not severe and the services suspended will be put back on track after 24 hours. The company's shares nosedived by 4.3% following the news.

UK Officials Say Russian GRU Military Intelligence Targets Tokyo Olympics

UK officials have claimed that the Tokyo Olympics 2020 was targeted by Russian GRU Military Intelligence. Reportedly, the attack happened prior to the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics to 2021 owing to the pandemic. UK Foreign Secretary has called Russia's activity as "Cynical and Reckless".
