Chhattisgarh Cyber Police Arrest Accused For Defrauding A Doctor In Online Stock Market
The director of a "fake" stock market advising firm was detained on May 18 by the Chhattisgarh police's cyber wing for reportedly deluding a doctor in Raigarh district of ₹87 lakh. The accused, Mohsin N, a Kerala native, was apprehended in Bengaluru and brought to Raipur. He claimed that his company, Creative Technology, was employed as a financial analyst for a Singapore-based financial corporation. The bank accounts are being frozen.

Apache Releases Security Patch For HTTP Flaw Server
The Apache Software Company, on December 23, released a security patch to solve critical flaw in HTTP server. Helpline To Report Cyber Fraud Cases In India Launched
The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has launched a national helpline number, 155260, to report cyber fraud cases. Cyberattack Hits 200 Businesses In United States
A cyberattack targeted Kaseya's computer network management tool, leading the US IT firm to advise organizations to halt servers to avoid ransomware. "We are in the process of investigating the root cause of the incident, but we recommend that you immediately shut down your VSA server until you receive further notice from us," Kaseya said in Reddit. Reportedly, about 200 businesses were encrypted.

UP Police To Handle Cyber Crime At Station Level
The UP Police Department is implementing computer literacy programs in eight districts within the Agra Zone to deal with the increased influx of cybercrime complaints. With this initiative, the UP police hope to be equipped to handle cybercrime at the station level. With imposed lockdown, cybercrime has been on the rise in India. Bangalore Police Introduces Instant Helpline To Address Online Frauds
In order to curb online frauds, Bangalore police have initiated an instant addressal helpline 'Cybercrime Incident Report system'. Delhi Sees 190% Rise In Cyber Frauds During Lockdown; 62% Financial Frauds
