Encounter

Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter broke out near Pichnad Machil area of Kupwara district in north Kashmir, confirmed a police official.  The terrorists have been killed and the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.  Furthermore, the encounter and search is still going on and identities of the terrorists are unknown.

The recent killing of gangster Asad, the son of Atiq Ahmad has triggered a political controversy. On April 13, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) encountered Asad and another accused in Umesh Pal Murder Case. The opposition said, the intent of the encounter was to kill as the two received more than forty gunshots. A case has been registered against the task force for encounter and investigation launched.

In Jharkhand, an encounter broke out between Naxals and the State police, resulting in the death of five Naxals. The encounter broke out between the police and naxals, who has bounties of Rs 5 Lakhs and reward prize of Rs 25 lakhs. Furthermore, the police also arrested three naxals, identified as Suman Singh Anchala (42,) Sanjay Kumar Usendi (27) and Parasram Dhangul (55.) This is a developing story, details awaited.

In Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district, four local terrorists were killed, confirmed police on October 5. As per ANI sources, terrorists, proscribed with terror outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, were killed in two separate encounters in the region. Two local Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists planning to target the Army's Agniveer recruitment rally were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district.
