Women Take Centre Stage At Farmers' Protests At Delhi Borders
Marking International Women's day 2021, women took centre stage at the ongoing farmers' protest against the contentious farm laws. One of the protest organisers stated that, for the day, the stage was managed by women, and the speakers were also women. Besides, the women at the protest sites debated on issues related to farming as well as the plights faced by the women farmers.

Marking 100th Day Of Protests, Farmers To Block KMP Expressway On Mar 6
To commemorate the 100 days of protest against the Centre's farm laws, farmers have decided to block the 135-km-long Western Peripheral Expressway on March 6. Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) has issued a statement in this regard saying thousands of farmers will block the KMP expressway for 5 hours - between 11 AM and 4 PM. Farmer leader Balvir Singh Rajewal said, "no toll will be collected at the toll plazas during this time."

Opposition Leaders Walk Out Of RS Over Denial Of Farm Law Discussion
Opposition parties including Congress, TMC, DMK and RJD walked out from the Rajya Sabha on February 2 after Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu rejected their demand for discussion over farm laws. Naidu rejected the demands saying the issue can be raised on February 3 during the discussion on 'Motion of Thanks' to the President's Address. He said, "No one is stopping you from discussing the issue tomorrow [February 3]."

11th Round Talks Inconclusive; Farmer's Deny Proposal's Suspension
As both Farmer leaders and the Centre hardened their positions, the 11th round of talks on January 22 concluded in a stalemate. While the farmer unions necessitated the legal guarantee of MSP and the complete revocation of farm laws, the Centre re-emphasized deferring the laws for 1.5 years. After offering their proposals, government authorities said, "if they have a better proposal, they can come to us."
