Air India Announce One Free Change Offer For Passengers

Air India approved "One Free Change" to passengers, after IndiGo's 20% flights were cancelled. On January 10, Air India allowed one change of date, flight number and sector for domestic flights with confirmed tickets. The offer can be availed once, for travelers traveling on/before March 31, 2022. Air India took to Twitter and posted same asking people to follow official Air India website airindia.com for more details.

Flights Delayed, Roads Shut Amid Snowfall In Kashmir

Several roads in far-off areas of Kashmir closed, while flights were delayed at Srinagar airport, after Kashmir valley received fresh snowfall. An official has said that Srinagar recorded rain and snowfall of 7.1 mm since overnight till morning of January 4. Notably, Kashmir valley is currently under the grip of 40 day long harsh period of winter,  which will be followed by a 20 day long "Chilla Baccha".

Canadian Guidelines Remove Flight Restrictions For Indian Passengers

After a month of travel prohibition due to the Covid-19 crisis, Canada has allowed direct and indirect flights from India on September 26. Passengers on direct flights are mandatorily required to submit a negative Covid-19 report from GeneStrings-Laboratory. The test must be done within 18 hours before their departure time. The ones taking indirect flights will have to provide a negative test certificate from the third nation.

Oman To Open Travel Sevices For Vaccinated People, Including India

According to the Civil Aviation Authority, Oman decided to open its travel services from September 1 for the citizens of over 20 countries, including India who has received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. However, people have to wait for 14 days after receiving the vaccines to travel and also need to carry negative RT-PCR certificates to get exemption from quarantine. Oman also lifted the night curfew in the country.

Indigo Airplane's Tyre Bursts While Landing In Karnataka

Indigo aircraft's tyre busted during its arrival at Hubli in Karnataka. Indigo spokesperson stated, "All passengers and crew are safe. The aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance checks at Hubli". The Indigo ATR was scheduled to land at 08:00 PM, but after suspecting tyre burst, plane landed at 08:34 PM after informing the local air traffic. The airport director of Hubli, Pramod Kumar Thakur, declared the safe deboard of passengers.

Air India Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Spotting Bat In Plane

An Air India flight made an emergency landing after half an hour from taking off as the crew members spotted a bat in the plane on May 27. The flight had taken off from the Delhi airport and was bound to New Jersey. However, the aircraft returned to the airport and all passengers were shifted to another plane. Meanwhile, Air India stated the bat came through a third-party like catering.

Centre Nods To Drone Flight Operations Of Swiggy, Spicejet, 18 Others

The Aviation Ministry has approved a conditional exemption for drone flight operations of 20 entities including SpiceJet, Dunzo Air Consortium and Swiggy. The one-year exemption is granted under the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Rules, 2021, and the drones have been allowed to operate beyond the visual line of sight (BVLOS).
