Chennai: Only 83 Of 187 Samples Of Packaged Water Fit For Consumption

Greater Chennai Corporation has informed that out of 187 samples of packaged water tested in the city, about 45% were found to be unfit for consumption. The corporation said that out of the samples tested, only 147 were fit for analysis, and just 83 were fit for consumption. The others were found to be containing bacteria, or were bacteriologically unsatisfactory. Reportedly, few of them were misbranded as well.
