ED To SC, Says Will Extend Summon By 10 Days For K Kavitha
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday told the Supreme Court it will extend by 10 days the date of summons issued to BRS leader K Kavitha in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case. The agency had issued the summons on Thursday, asking Kavitha to appear on September 15. Additional Solicitor General (ASG) S V Raju, appearing for the ED said, Kavitha had appeared before the ED earlier.

AP CID Seeks Custody Of Chandrababu Naidu For Questioning, Files Petition
The Andhra Pradesh Police Crime Investigation Department (CID) has filed a petition in the court seeking 15 days of custody of former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who has been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody in a multi-crore scam, said an official.However, a decision on this petition, which was filed on Monday is expected to come up for a hearing on September 13, confirmed official.

By-elections Results: NDA V/S INDIA As Voting Counting Continues In 7 Seats
The counting of votes in seven assembly seats has begun. This will be a major test for the opposition alliance, INDIA, against the BJP-led NDA ahead of the polls in five states later this year and Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The counting of votes began at 8 am at centres set up in the respective states. Seven seats of the West Bengal, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand conducts by-election.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said that 'Akhand Bharat' or undivided India will be a reality soon. PM Narendra Modi on September 6, spoke on the Sanatan Dharma controversy that stemmed from Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi's statement. In response to Stalin's remark that Sanatan should be eradicated like dengue, malaria, PM Modi in an informal chat with the ministers during the Cabinet meeting raised the issue and and said the ministers should give a befitting reply to the Sanatan Dharma debate.

Rajnath Singh Lashes Out At Opposition Over Sanatan Dharam Row, Demands Apology
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took offence to the Sanatan Dharam comment by DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin and demanded an apology from I.N.D.I.A and BLOC alliance of the opposition. Notably, Singh said, " Congress ally DMK is insulting Sanatan Dharma. They say that Sanatan Dharma should be abolished." He also asked the Congress and the DMK to apologise and take action against Stalin.
