Mumbai Indians Replaces Jasprit Bumrah In IPL 2023

Ahead of IPL 2023, Mumbai Indians have roped in Sandeep Warrier, a seasoned right-arm fast bowler, as a substitute player for Jasprit Bumrah, who is currently injured. With more than 200 matches under his belt in the domestic circuit, including 69 T20 games, Sandeep has taken a total of 362 wickets across formats in his career so far. Sandeep will join the Mumbai Indians in first match against RCB.

BCCI Yet To Decide On Jasprit Bumrah's Replacement, Shami On Standby

The Board of Control from Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to take a decision on the replacement of Jasprit Bumrah, for the T20 Internationals ICC World Cup. Notably, after the recent injury of Bumrah, he has been ruled out of the tournament. Moreover, the team India head coach, Rahul Dravid said, "We still have time and Shami is on standby". The tournament is set to begin from October 23.

Jasprit Bumrah Ruled Out Of T20 World Cup Amid Back Injury

India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the T20-World Cup due to a back stress fracture, confirmed sources on September 29.  Absence of Bumrah from the tour will be a massive blow to team's chances at the ICC flagship event starting from November in Australia. "Bumrah has a serious back condition. It's a stress fracture and he could be out for a period of six-months," said BCCI official.

Bumrah Blames 'Bubble Fatigue' For India's Consecutive T20 Losses

Indian Bowlers Shine At Lord's As India Beat England By 151 Runs

India takes a 1-0 lead on the five-match test series at Lord's cricket ground against England.
