Bihar Former DGP Gupteshwar Pandey Took Volunteer Retirement and Joined JD(U)
The former Director-General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey on September 27, joined Bihar's ruling party Janata Dal (United), in the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Recently, the ex-DGP had taken voluntary retirement from his duty, before which, he was involved in Sushant Singh Rajput's case. Bihar: Senior RJD Leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh Quits Party Ahead of Elections
Senior Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh quit the party on September 10. This came as a major setback for the opposition party as the Bihar assembly elections are ahead. He had already stepped down from the post of RJD's national vice-president in June. Reportedly, he was upset with his rival and former MP Ramakishore Singh's attempts to join RJD. Nitish Kumar Promises Govt Job to Kin of SC/ST Murder Victim
Bihar government has announced to give a government job to the next of kin of any SC/ST person killed in the state. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said, "One member from the family of a Dalit or tribal who is murdered will get job." Ahead of Assembly Elections, Three RJD MLAs Join Ruling JD(U) in Bihar
Two expelled Rashtriya Janata Dal MLAs, Maheshwar Prasad Yadav and Prema Chaudhary, joined the ruling Janata Dal-United in Bihar on August 17.
