In J&K's Udhampur district, a bus fell into a gorg, leaving eight children injured, on August 6. The min bus was en route from Barmeen village to Udhampur. Reportedly, the driver lost control, and the bus skidded off the road and fell near Massora. Meanwhile, all the injured have been shifted to a district hospital. In J&K's Ramban, the Jammu-Srinagar highway continues to remain blocked since July 20, due to shooting stones. Following incessant rains, which led to shooting stones, the 270 km highway has been blocked. After announcing about the road blockage, Deputy Commissioner of Ramban Massrat ul Islam said that "it is raining heavily in Ramban". Meanwhile, NHAI has dispatched officials to help clear the stretch.

In Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch, an accidental grenade blast has claimed the lives of two Army personnel along the LoC. An Army officer and a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), who were injured in the blast, succumbed to their injuries during treatment. In J&K's Srinagar, investigation is underway for the attack of three-member patrol in Lalbazar, on July 13. The attack which took place near a school, killed an officer and left two others injured. Reportedly, the investigators are using the CCTV footages to identify the accused. Furthermore, Former CMs Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti were among those who condemned the attack.

In J&K's Poonch district, an ITBP officer shot himself dead with his service weapon, while on duty. Reportedly, the incident occurred at Mini-Secretariat in Poonch Town, and Prem Chand was posted as Assistant Sub-Inspector of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). Immediately after the incident, Chand was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Further details on the matter is awaited.
