The makers of Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film "Dhaakad" announced the release date to be May 20. Directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai and produced by Deepak Mukut and Sohel Maklai, the action-packed women-oriented movie will show actress Kangana as Agent Agni. The film shows lead as an action heroine and is likely to set a new Bollywood standard. The film has Saswata Chatterjee, Arjun Rampal, and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.

Singer turned politician Manoj Tiwari shared his opinion about Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, popular for her harsh and unfiltered comments against political leaders and government. In an interview, Tiwari said, "You should stay courteous. You must put forth your views but it's not in our culture to name someone with disrespect". He further added,for someone at CM or PM position, one should have respect, but Kangana often lose that. 

Congress MLA from Jharkhand Irfan Ansari, made a controversial statement and assured to construct roads "smoother than actress Kangana Ranaut's cheeks". In a self-made video, the politician said, the construction of 14 world-class roads will begin soon in Jamtara. He said, the roads will be used by youth and children of tribal community in Jharkhand. Earlier, Ansari made a bizzare statement, that masks should not be used for long.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, appeared before the Mumbai Police, on December 23. She visited in relation to the FIR against her recent comments against farmers'. In an Instagram post, Ranaut called protesting farmers as "Khalistani," following which a FIR was registered with the Khar Police Station, to give statement. After missing several summon notices, this is the first time Kangana Ranaut appeared before the police. 

Actor Kangana Ranaut remembered former Tamil Nadu CM J. Jayalalithaa on her fifth death anniversary on December 5. Kangana took to Instagram and wrote, "On Amma's Punyatithi, remembering the Iron Lady... Purchai Dr. J. Jayalalithaa." Notably, Kangana depicted Jayalalithaa's life in her movie ''Thalaivii''. Jayalalithaa is famous as the CM of Tamil Nadu and she held the position six times before her death on December 5, 2016.
