IT Ministry Withdraws Letter Issued To Apple Over IT Rules

The Electronics and the IT Ministry had withdrawn the letter issued to Apple India after concluding that Apple's iMessage would not be considered a ‘social media intermediary’ as it did not primarily enable interaction between two or more users. A letter was sent to Apple India by the Ministry over its compliance with the IT rules, concerning the iMessage service. Both parties are yet to respond to this development.

30-Year-Old Mother Commits Suicide Due To Domestic Violence

Mona Dwivedi, a resident of UP's Agra, shot herself in the chest on July 2 and blamed her brothers-in-law for allegedly torturing her. The 30-year-old inked a letter to PM Modi requesting him to ''ensure the safety of women in their houses.'' Moreover, the mother of two, wrote that she couldn't raise her voice against the prolonged torture as she was afraid of being abandoned by her husband.

Calcutta HC Judge Questions CJ's Intervention In Narada Case Decisions

Calcutta High Court's Justice Arindam Sinha addressed a condemning letter to acting CJ and colleagues over the mishandling of the Narada case. Justice Sinha wrote, 'We have been reduced to a mockery,' and demanded to get their act together. He deemed the labelling of CBI's petition to transfer the case outside Bengal as a 'writ petition' as wrong and should have been a single bench hearing instead of division bench.

Kerala Teacher Writes Letters To Over 250 Students For New Year

In an unique way of extending wishes, a school teacher in Kerala, Dileep PV, is sending postcards to his students to wish them on New Year. From early December, Dileep has sent over 250 postcards to his 'online' students. Written in Malayalam, the cards read, "Let's forget the pages of a written diary and welcome the New Year with a new hope". Dileep's headmaster said the novel initiative had garnered many hearts.
