Rajasthan HC's Marriage & Live-In Decision Indicates They Are Different From Other HCs
Rajasthan High Court ordered the police to examine the threat and give security, if necessary, to a married woman and her live-in partner. The ruling contradicts decisions from other High Courts throughout the nation. When convicted offenders of serious crimes are given the right to life and liberty, there is no rational justification to deny the same protection to individuals in a "legal/illegal relationship," the judgment read.

Even Parents Can't Object To Inter-Caste Adult Marriage: Allahabad HC
While allowing police protection to an inter-faith couple, the Allahabad High Court on September 16 said nobody, even parents, can't raise any objection to the marriage of two adults based on religion or else. The court's direction came after a 19-year-old Muslim woman and her 24-year-old Hindu partner from UP's Gorakhpur urged it to provide the protection. Reportedly, the couple's parents have become a threat to their life.

19-Year-Old Girl Held For Sexually Assaulting Minor In Tamil Nadu
Under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, a 19-year-old girl was arrested by Tamil Nadu's Pollachi all-woman police on August 28. The accused married a 17-year-old boy with whom she met while working at a petrol bunk. However, after marrying, they returned to Kerala's Coimbatore, where “the girl sexually assaulted the boy.” Later, the woman was charged under Section 5(I) and Section 6.

Forced Sex With Wife Cannot Be Termed 'Illegal': Mumbai Court
A Mumbai session court has granted anticipatory bail to a man and his family members who were accused of forcible sexual intercourse. The woman accused the husband of having sex against her wish which caused temporary lower waist paralysis. However, "being the husband cannot be said that he committed any illegal thing," session court judge Sanjashree J Gharat said. The women have also filed complaints about dowry demand.
