Estranged Wife Marries Father-In-Law; Complaint Lodged

A 22-year-old man from UP's Budaun district through an RTI found that his estranged wife had married his 48-years-old father. Besides, they have a two-year-old child. Reportedly, the son had married the girl in 2016, when they were minors, but they separated due to a domestic dispute. However, the man lodged a complaint, and the investigation is underway.

Reportedly, the woman has been accused of cheating all three men and acquired a dowry amount of Rs 11,16,635 from all her husbands. However, the lady claims that she had obtained a divorce from her ex-husband but was found to be incorrect.

Odisha Revises Cash Incentive For PwD Marriages; To Pay Rs 2.5 Lakh

To encourage the marriages of differently-abled people, the Odisha government has revised the cash incentives from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2,50,000. Besides, the Social Security and Empowerment of PwD Department has revised the guides for facilitating such marriages. For eligibility, both the residents should be from Odisha, and the wedding should be dowry free. Moreover, the incentive will be provided if one of the spouses is disabled.
