A 30-year-old gulf woman has been imprisoned for 11 years by the Bahrain Court for marrying three men simultaneously without obtaining a divorce. Reportedly, the woman has been accused of cheating all three men and acquired a dowry amount of Rs 11,16,635 from all her husbands. However, the lady claims that she had obtained a divorce from her ex-husband but was found to be incorrect.

Three Japanese couple who had approached the top court arguing they want to keep their own surname after marriage, was subsequently denied. According to their constitutional rule, the couples will have to choose family name as surname. However, the Debate over different surnames is a hot topic in the country because some lawmakers in the ruling coalition support the idea and some oppose it. 

British PM Boris Johnson tied the knot with his fiancee Carrie Symonds on May 29. The hush-hush ceremony took place at Westminster Cathedral which was locked at 1:30PM before Symonds arrived in a white dress 30 minutes later. While the guests were invited at the last minute of ceremony, Johnson’s senior officers were unaware of it. Reportedly, wedding invites for July 2022 were sent to close ones earlier this month.

American singer Ariana Grande has married real estate agent Dalton Gomez in an intimate ceremony of about 20 people consisting close friends and family from both sides. Keeping private about their relationship, the couple tied knot at Ariana's California house. While they are yet to make an official announcement about the marriage, the duo have been reportedly dating for nearly a year as Grande announced their engagement last year.

To encourage the marriages of differently-abled people, the Odisha government has revised the cash incentives from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2,50,000. Besides, the Social Security and Empowerment of PwD Department has revised the guides for facilitating such marriages. For eligibility, both the residents should be from Odisha, and the wedding should be dowry free. Moreover, the incentive will be provided if one of the spouses is disabled.
